I grew up snowboarding first, skateboarding second, and wakeboarding third. After buying my first longboard after university, (I know, late bloomer) longboarding would be the forth board sport I picked up. I rode this small hill outside the front of my house pretty much every single day that summer. After that, I knew I was meant to longboard. I kept with it and 10 years later I’m still riding. The reason that I bought a longboard and started in the first place was to cruise the streets in Chesteremere with my friends. To this day, I do the same thing. However, now it's with a lot more friends - and lots of the time its competitive. ;) These days I am super into racing and getting the adrenaline going, there is nothing like it. But the best part is that every time I step onto a board I get the freedom to do whatever I like.
I ride PARKtek boards because being an owner and not riding your own product would be weird. All jokes aside, everyone here at PARKtek who has a hand in building the product is going to be creating the best product available. How do I know this? Every board we produce is made by one of the owners.
Although our boards are great, my favourite part of PARKtek is the people. I get to hang with my best friends everyday - riding with the team, working in photoshop, building boards, or driving to races. No matter what it is, it is always fun.
If I'm racing I want to be on the SSB- Super Sonic Blast. It's my absolute favourite board for speed. But with all the new ideas we have coming out, I could be swayed. If I’m free riding I'm on The Poutine. The pockets make this board ideal for sliding, plus the subtle kick makes life not only easier, but also a whole lot more fun!
